奈良生まれ奈良育ち。

3歳より音感教育を受け、6歳よりクラシック・ピアノを始める。

 

神戸大学発達科学部人間行動・表現学科音楽表現論コースにて音楽を専攻。美術や心理学も学ぶ。

在学中はショパン作品の演奏に傾倒するも、卒業後はジャンルを超えた音楽の世界へと引き込まれていく。

 

心に浮かぶ情景を描いた自作のピアノ・ソロや、雅楽・能など日本伝統音楽の間を活かしたコラボレーションを得意とする異色のピアニスト・作曲家として活動。

歌や言葉・アートやその場の空気からインスピレーションを得て音を紡ぐ即興演奏なども手掛ける。。

そのジャンルは多岐にわたり、特に美しい音色と柔らかなタッチに定評がある。

 

2005年、ピアノ・ソロでウクライナでの海外公演を成功。現地人気テレビ音楽番組にも生出演し『日本から来た妖精ピアニスト』と謳われ、独自のタッチや音楽性を高く評価される。

最近では、人々を柔らかく包み込むような音楽・表情から妖精ピアニスト改め『菩薩系ピアニスト』と呼ぶ人も増えている。

 

2003年 WORLD STAGEより発売された絵本つきコンピレーション・アルバム「NAMIOTO」 に参加以降、ソロ・アルバム「acco」「ひとつだけ」、イラストレーター武内祐人氏との「on the planet EARTH」シリーズ他CDを多数発売。多様なジャンルのミュージシャンのCDへの参加多数。

 

ラジオ・TV等のCM音楽の制作多数、TV番組の音楽や映画音楽なども手掛ける。

2010年、NHK阪神淡路大震災報道特番『震災15年』のメインテーマを中島光一氏と共作、ピアノ演奏提供。

2013年、野球評論家の桑田真澄氏がピアニストとして演奏し話題になったJUのCMの作曲・演奏指導を担当。

2014年、長年世界№1シェアを誇る椿元チエインのCM・映像音楽の作曲・ピアノ演奏を担当。

2015年、ミスタードーナツ45周年のCMの作曲・オーケストラアレンジを担当。

2016年、三菱一号館美術館のCMの作曲・演奏を担当。

 

また歌やピアノ調律、後進の指導にもあたるなど様々な分野に活動の場を広げている。

 

2016年、奈良の音楽家・美術科・文化人・知識人による団体「ピアノで奏でる会」を立ち上げ、代表を務める。奈良の音楽とは？奈良の芸術とは？奈良の文化とは？奈良の歴史とは？様々な視点から奈良を探求・追求し、奈良から新たな文化・芸術を創出・発進。

2016年は特に、ピアノと能楽のコラボに邁進中。

 

2016年秋、東アジア文化都市2016なら連携の韓国・済州道で開催されるオルム・コンサートに奈良の楽団「奈良楽譜～Nara Silk Road Ensemble～」と「ピアノで奈良を奏でる会」として出演。同時期開催の「第55回タムラ文化祭」と併せて出演者のコーディネートを担当する。

 

多様なジャンルを軽やかに跳び越えながらも独自のタッチで奏でられる 流れるような 歌うような 情感豊かなピアノ、ピュアな音色で奏でられる物語のような作品は知らず知らずのうちに聴く人の心を潤し、空想の世界へと誘ってくれる。

 

 

 

AKIKO SAKAKIBARA（Pianist＆Composer） 

 

She was born and raised in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, Japan.

She received auditory training since childhood and

started playing classical piano music at 6.

At the Faculty of Human Development, Department of

Human Behavior and Human Expression in National University of Kobe, she studied piano, music, art and psychology.

While actively collaborating with Japanese traditional

music and performing improvisation, she is the unique pianist and composer who creates

piano music of the scenes which appear inside her heart.

She has received requests from across the Halls and

various organizations, and performs throughout the world.
